Have you ever wondered what attributes you might need to be a full time writer? Well, here’s a tongue in cheek list of 12 attributes every full time writer needs:
- Creativity.
- Persistence.
- An endless supply of patience.
- A second income. (or the ability to exist on next to nothing.)
- The ability to bounce back.
- The ability to be polite and professional at all times. ( to editors and reviewers)
- A good supply of chocolate – and/or wine.
- The ability to bounce back.
- Stubbornness.
- Tolerance.
- A sense of humour.
- The ability to bounce back.
YAY! I do believe I have most of those attributes, with the exception of persistence, stubborness, creativity, sense of humour, patience, second income, tolerance and the ability to bounce back. So I’m on the right track with a cellar full of wine and chocolate. Yippee! 🙂
Half way there then!
You missed an important one – a little gadget to get cake crumbs out the keyboard. Without that I can bash the letters all I like, but no words appear.
Where do you actually get those from, Patsy? I need one too 🙂
Did you forget the ability to bounce back? 🙂
