Eleven Qualities Every Professional Writer Needs

I’ve been editing a piece on writing short stories that I did for Writers’ Forum some time ago. I just came across this list of qualities a professional writer needs, and I thought it might be quite fun to share it with you. It’s very tongue in cheek, but oh how true!

Eleven Qualities Every Professional Writer Needs

Patience

Sensitivity (whilst writing)

A thick skin! (whilst being rejected)

Patience

A sense of humour

A very stubborn streak

Patience

The ability to exist on next to no money

Diligence

Courage

And did I mention patience!
